Appreciating Architecture

Sarah did a double take as they walked past the palace. Jane snorted. Her sister always did have a thing for men in uniform. She watched Sarah take a subtle glance back at the guard standing rigidly near the white stone column.

“Are you done staring or should we stay for a while?”

“Jane!” Sarah squealed.

“What? There’s a bench over there with an excellent view of the palace.”

Sarah grinned. Jane took out her camera.

“I think I’ll take a photo. This building’s architecture is mighty fine, don’t you think?”

Sarah looked at the guard again. “Mighty fine indeed.”
