Happy Valentine’s Day, dear readers! Please enjoy this romantic edition of Friday Fictioneers. Thanks, as always, to the lovely Rochelle for providing our weekly prompts. Our photo today is provided by Janet Webb.
P.s. May I be the first to day that sangria looks delicious?! (it must be the strawberries).

Round Trip
Daphne stood in the kitchen, sipping her sangria in silence.
Suddenly two familiar arms circled around her and she melted into his embrace, sighing contentedly.
“How would you like to be doing this on the beaches of Italy?” he whispered into her ear.
She laughed. “I wish.”
“Your wish is my command.” He pulled two round trip tickets out of his pocket.
“Michael!” Daphne nearly dropped her sangria, but Michael steadied her hand.
Setting the glass down on the counter, Daphne spun in his arms and hugged him tight. “I love you,” she said, her face pressed against his chest.
A sword fight on the beach would be nice, too!
I agree, Professor!
But would you fight, Darby–that’s the question.

Hey wait a minute – my hubby didn’t give me that for Valentines Day. Oh well, this was a happy story and I loved it. Thanks, Nan
My bf didn’t get me that either. But I’m okay with it. Thanks for reading! 🙂
