Grumbles

Happy Friday Readers! I am bringing you Friday Fictioneers on time today! Special thanks to our leader, Rochelle Wisoff-Fields for both hosting this grand venture and for this week’s photo prompt.

And….last week’s trio is back! I had such fun writing them, I brought Hal, Grumpkin and Sonia back for another little adventure. Enjoy.

Grumbles

“Stop feeding him everything we’ve got!” Sonia snapped. “We’ve only got…”

“…enough food for four days, I know,” Hal finished while handing Grumpkin another biscuit.

“We’ve already been gone for three!” Sonia’s voice took on a slightly higher pitch.

Hal sighed. “The Master assured us the mushroom we need should be in the next valley over. We’ll be quick about it.”

Sonia mumbled under breath, but Hal couldn’t hear her over the crackle of their campfire. He shrugged and began tickling Grumpkin, who was still slobbering over the biscuit.

“You could at least share.” Wordlessly Hal passed Sonia the biscuits.

  1. What will happen if the mushroom isn’t there? This is so cute – Don’t think Hal realizes the term “When it’s gone, it’s gone.” No more food for Hal. Good Story! Nan 🙂

Tell me what you think!
